The long journey takes place during the putsch of 15 July 2016 and Sinan’s trust in his commander and the army is shaken. He begins to question to whom he should remain loyal to. The Edge of Night stands out with its anti-militarist approach and the performances of Ahmet Rıfat Şungar and Berk Hakman, it was selected for Venice Days, Toronto and Valladolid film festivals
