• The Chorus

  • 1h 37m - Fransa, İsviçre

  • Fond de l'Etang is a boarding school for troubled boys in a French countryside. In the mid-20th century, it is run by M. Rachin, an egotistical, disciplinarian headmaster. His philosophy is action-reaction. However, his system does not work on children with unruly dispositions and causes a backlash. One day a new instructor, M. Clement Mathiue, arrives at the school. This middle-aged man has spent his whole life striving for many things and trying to find his place in life. Although he finds the children extremely mischievous, he does not believe in M. Rachin's ideas. The only solution is to use the tool he knows best. After all, music is a universal power that can cure everything. With the choir he establishes within the school, he will make everyone look at life from a completely different perspective. The Choir is a film that won many nominations, including Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for Best Foreign Language Film. It won Best Music and Sound at the Caesar Awards in France.
